He
is known as Ankara Boy and since he auditioned for the Glo X Factor
reality show, the young wannabe singer has been blowing the minds of
many with his vocal cords.
However, his luck ran out yesterday as he was evicted from the show, thus kissing goodbye to the N24m cash prize.
His great voice didn’t get him enough
votes last week for he and Symphony band were the contestants with the
least number of votes.
It fell on the judges to save one of the
contestants. It wasn’t a surprise that Onyeka saved Ankara Boy who she
mentors, but Reggie had to save Symphony, the group under his
mentorship, not minding that Ankara Boy performed better than Symphony.
It was now left for MI to break the tie
and to everybody’s surprise, MI favoured Symphony, automatically kicking
out Ankara Boy from the show.
With six contestants left in the show
and three more eviction ahead, all the contestants are gearing up to put
up ‘out of the world’ performances.
The contestants under MI’s mentorship –
Pheel, Princess Pat and DJ Switch- are still on top of the game. Onyeka,
having lost Ankara Boy, is now left with two contestants – Eshum and
Vicky while Reggie is left with Symphony.
The show is getting hotter as all of them try hard to be the contestant with the X factor.
