Robin van Persie has moved quickly to rubbish reports emerging on Thursday which claim he is unhappy with life under Manchester United boss David Moyes. Former United skipper Sir Alex Ferguson signed van Persie last summer, and David Woods of the Daily Star claimed the Dutch forward told a friend he “has yet to be convinced” by new boss Moyes. However, van Persie reacted immediately, speaking to De Telegraaf, per United’s official website: Van Persie made a sparkling start to the new campaign, scoring braces in the Community Shield game with Wigan and the opening Premier League clash at Swansea. However, he failed to find the net against Chelsea and Liverpool , and Woods reported that the striker’s confrontational attitude against the Reds was a result of his frustration with Moyes, quoting a friend of the Dutchman as saying: Van Persie was a public advocate of Ferguson, but it seems there is little for him to complain about under the new regime, which continues to earmark the Dutchman as the focal point of United’s attack.
