The programme, the latest in a series of special revival services that began early in the year, will witness a session of great anointing. Pastor William Folorunsho Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of the church, will be ministering at the programme.
With the theme, “Receiving Empowerment for Spiritual Conquest”, the special revival service will draw multitudes of worshippers to the Deeper Life Conference Centre, at Km 42, on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. It will also be beamed live by satellite to all the states of the federation, across the African continent, and beyond. It will similarly be streamed live on the Internet.
“Previous programmes witnessed testimonies to the wonderful works of God,” the church said in a statement yesterday. Many people testified to receiving healing for various medical conditions. Long standing problems disappeared after the ministration of the man of God, Pastor Kumuyi, at the programme.
There have also been striking tales of God’s miraculous and dramatic intervention in freeing some people who had been held captive by kidnappers.”
The statement added: “God is unchanging. Just as He worked for others in the past programmes, He promises to do even more this weekend. God is faithful and will not spurn anyone that puts his trust and confidence in Him.”
At last month’s session of the special revival service, tagged “Face to face with the God of miracles”, Pastor Kumuyi encouraged the thousands of people in attendance to approach God with the full confidence that there is no problem, need or challenge that is beyond His power.
“We have a God of might and power, the God of impossibilities, the God of restoration, the God of all authority, the God of all creation, the God of love, exploits and supernatural works”, Pastor Kumuyi said, pointing out that at a time like this, believers can only obtain “daily provision in God’s presence, as they obey His divine prescriptions and receive definite protection” in the face of adversities.
This weekend programme will end on Sunday morning with a special worship service led by Pastor Kumuyi.
