Eight members of the NFF board signed the order of impeachment against their former boss in Abuja on Thursday afternoon The plot to impeach the former president of the Nigeria Football Federation, Alhaji Aminu Maigari came to fruition on Thursday as eight (8) of the 13 board members of the Federation voted in favour of his impeachment in what seemed likea mini palace coup conducted at the Board Roomof the secretariat in Abuja.Last week Thursday when the NFF Board met andwrote to Fifa that all was well and peace had returned to Nigerian football, which prompted FIFA to lift the suspension placed on the country, the impeachment exercise was stalled as a result of a tie among the 12 members then (with six on both sides).
