The veteran defender has announced her intention
to make a sensational return to the Super Falcons
ahead of the 2015 Women’s World Cup finals in
Canada

Ajayi has expressed her desire to return to the
country's women senior national team fold after
nearly six years of absence.
Ajayi, 37, nicknamed 'Small Mama', who led the
Super Falcons to win five African Women
Championships, said she is willing to prove herself if
given the opportunity and hopes to earn her return
on merit ahead of the 2015 Fifa World Cup in
Canada.
The former Pelican Stars and Rivers Angels
defender believes her spectacular form with the
Polish outfit and experience will be a huge bargain
and boost of confidence for the Super Falcons at the
World Cup finals.
She praised the recent glorious feat recorded by the
team since coach Edwin Okon took over and
believes the team has what it takes to succeed in
Canada.
"I am going to make it back to the national team
very soon. I have been working very hard lately so
that I can make a come back to the team,"
Kikelomo was quoted by SoccerStar .
"We have a young team now and they have put up
brilliant performances. The coach has done a good
job in moulding the team into a strong unit.
"But I believe as the Falcons are going to the World
Cup in Canada they need experienced players like
me," she concluded.
Nigeria will begin their campaign at the 7th Fifa
Women's World Cup against Sweden on June 8 in
Winnipeg. The tournament holds from June 5 to July
6.
The seven-time African Women’s Championship
winners, who are placed in arguably the toughest
group along with Sweden, Australia and the United
States, will hope to better their best ever quarter
final finish at the 1999 edition.
