The suspect, who is also known as Shuaibu Shehu Rabiu, was said to have visited several churches in the country, telling fictitious story of how he was actively involved in the activities of theBoko Haraminsurgents before he repented and became a Christian.
The State Director of DSS, Mr. Victor Duru, who paraded the suspect in Enugu, said that Danboyi, a native of Garshi District, KuraFalls, Barkin-Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, “has been going about duping innocent Nigerians, using religion as his tool.”
According to him, the suspect was arrested at Mountain of Fire and MiraclesChurch, Zik Avenue, Enugu, in connection withBoko Haram activities
Duru said: “He has been going about with a false testimony, deceiving people, duping and exploiting people in the name of religion.
“He claims that he was aBoko Harammember, who has converted to Christianity.”
He added that Danboyi began the deceit in 2001 in a church at Abuja.
